The Daily Show is a great tv show. There’s a lot of reasons to like it. Most of it is because it’s a hilarious comedy that brings satire to the political arena with the top improv comedy actors playing “journalists”. When I think of people who are interested in photography, I think of f-stops, exposure, composition, lighting, the rule of thirds, filters, etc. I also think about a variable plethora of exciting pictures of everything from people to nature, animals to buildings. What I don’t think about is people who take pictures that are 95-99% of themselves.

I don’t get a lot of phone calls. I don’t know a lot of people. I also work overnights, so I sleep during the day, so I miss phone calls. A lot of these calls look important, but I also don’t want to call them back because they didn’t leave a voicemail. I figure that if it’s important they’ll call back. I guess that’s why I don’t get a lot of phone calls.

About two years ago, around this time, my then girlfriend sent me a text message that I didn’t want to see. First, it was a surprise to get a text from her because she didn’t have texting on her phone, so it obviously came from someone else’s cell. The words I didn’t want to see: “We should probably break up”. Something like that, I don’t remember it verbatim, but that’s not the point of my story. The point is that she couldn’t break up with me face-to-face or even with a phone call, she did it with a text message, from her friend’s phone. All I kept thinking from then on was how cheap, childish, and cowardly this was. But, one of my co-workers actually made me think about this tonight. He didn’t bring up the subject in any way, shape, or form, it’s just I really hate him. I’m in the situation myself.
