Best alternative to treating genital warts without going to the doctor? My boyfriend just started a new job so he’s not going to get health insurance for about another month. I offered to help him pay for the doctor’s visit before then, but he absolutely refuses and says he doesn’t want to waste money (which I think is a mistake because it’s in regard to his health, but it’s not like I can force him to do anything). That’s why I eliminate the option of seeing the doctor, so please don’t suggest it. Anyway, I’ve read that this can be treated with OTC medications…but that it’s not recommended because it can cause side-effects if used improperly, etc. etc. I’ve read about Wartrol, but a bunch of those ads seem to be from the company, not actual people. And the ones that say it works, you can’t really tell if they’re real or not. But if anyone has tried either OTC meds or Wartrol, or perhaps even an option that I haven’t mentioned, and it’s ended up working for you (or someone you know), please let me know what it was that helped. Or if you’ve had a negative experience with anything and wasted your money, I’d like to know about that too. By the way, no the warts aren’t anything serious…it seems as though they’re very low-grade and they just recently showed up about a week and a half ago. But I don’t really want him to wait a month without doing anything and allow it to get worse.

THE DRS USE CROYOGENICS TO FREEZE GENITAL WARTS OFF THE SAME AS REGULAR ONES….MY SUGGESTION IS GET FREEZE AWAY…OTC AND USE BUT ONLY SPECIFIC TO EFFECTED AREA AS THE SKIN WILL BURN A LIL….ALSO GENERAL REMOVAL OF WATRS OR WART CLUSTER AS SOON AS THEY APPEAR WILL ALSO HELP ALOT…..USE NAIL CLIPPERS OR SOMETHING SIMULAR AND THIS SHOULDNT HURT HIM AT ALL AS LONG AS THESE ARE NOT CUT OFF THE HEAD OF THE PENIS….HAVE YOU CAUGHT THE HPV VIRUS? IF SO OR U DONT KNOW….U NEED CERVICAL EXAMS EVERY 6 MONTHS AS THIS IS WHERE U WILL FORM ABNORMAL CANCER CAUSING CELLS FROM THE GENITAL WARTS(HUMAN PAPILOMA VIRUS) HPV. NOT THE END OF THE WORLD BUT NEEDS TO TREAT AS THEY CAN BE COME ALOT WORSE….AND HE SHOULD ALSO PAY ATTENTION TO STRESS AND DIET AS CERTAIN THINGS CAN MAKE THE OUTBREAKS MORE OFTEN. GOOD LUCK

I cannot give my opinion about Wartrol as I’ve never tried it. I have used over the counter freezing products and have found those effective. I have also used cauterization myself using a sterilized hot needle. Both have been effective. I prefer to stay away from applying acids myself as they’re nasty if you used to much and I’ve sufferred the consequences of that. Whatever you use, be prepared to do it often. They can be very hard to defeat no matter if you treat yourself or let the doctor do it for you.

There are many different strains of the viruses that cause genital warts. About 30% of the time the warts require 2-3 rounds of treatment before they are gone for good. Usually, if the warts don’t show up again within a few months, they are not likely to show up ever again. However, anything can happen because there are so many strains and people respond differently. Wartrol is a homeopathic treatment, and the whole philosophy underlying homeopathy is just that – a philosophy. Wartrol makes claims of 90% effectiveness – if this was true it would be a medical miracle.

how long after wartrol is put on d genital warts, do the genital warts go away? I had treatment last month for my genital warts and I still have the warts. They have not disappeared. Will I ever get rid of them? Do genital warts eventually take over the entire vagina? I mean like do the warts cover every part of the vagina after a while to the point that you cant even see your vagina aymore?

  6. Abby Yup says:

This sounds very serious, possibly even life threatening, see a doctor ASAP!

  8. Asia ? says:

There is no treatment that can completely eliminate genital warts once a person has been infected. Often outbreaks of genital warts will become less frequent over time, until the body naturally clears the virus and the warts disappear of their own accord. However, in some people the infection may linger. A doctor can give patients various treatments to clear genital warts, but they may reappear even after treatment. Genital warts are caused by a virus, not a bacterium, so antibiotics will not get rid of them.

  9. First Baby On August 2nd! says:

The warts will never “go away”. Even if you get rid of current warts, new ones may still grow. I contracted HPV when I was 16 (my first abnormal pap). And warts when I was 19. I had them for two years before they cleared up on their own. (my body fought them away). And my paps came up clear for several years. Until I became pregnant, now I’ve had another outbreak of wart growth because pregnancy weakens your immune system. Depends on your immune system how much warts will affect you. Stay healthy and you should be as “fine” as you can be with HPV.

Where Can i buy Wartrol? ? and not from the website

  13. audiarmageddon says:

Any local health food store that stocks homeopathic medicine can order Wartrol.

  14. Optimist says:

No treatment is completely satisfactory as relapse is frequent and requires re-treatment. I prefer cryotherapy (freezing), electrocauterization, or surgical excision. though, in people with healthy immune systems, the warts may resolve without treatment.

  15. Sarah Woth says:

umm. your treatment ways sounds good..

  16. thenoseknows says:

See a professional Homeopath. Homeopathy can cure genital warts and other STDs completely without toxic drugs, lotions or potions.

  17. Tink says:

The best method is to have them removed cyrogenically in a gynecologists office. Period. Homeopaths don’t treat anything.
