How To Save Polar Bears?

Polar Bears and Global Warming Video

Polar bears are actually ever more emerging as threatened due to a myriad of issues including industry activities, ice in their natural environment melting, and human aspect. By a long way the greatest root cause is actually the modification in the natural world of the polar bear. Countless life-threatening conditions are created for these cool climate bears when the ice melts. Global warming that is actually linked to industrialization as well as tasks such as driving a car, burning coal, as well as more human projects generates the ice melting.

The Bear Basics
Polar bears are actually a enormous species that make their homes on the frozen Arctic marine. The bears are going to spend the majority of their lives on the ice. Males can grow up to ten feet in period and weigh in at over 1,400 pounds! The bears are carnivores, suggesting they consume the meat of additional Arctic animals. At present there are actually estimated to be actually just 20 to 50 thousands Arctic polar bears left in the wild. They are actually on the Endangered Species List.

Why They’re At Prospect
The greatest hazard to the survival of the polar bear species is actually the noted warming of the Arctic ocean which is leading to the melting of the ice these bears call residence. Although the bears make use of the ice for breeding as well as relaxing as well, it’s principal element is to supply a cover for the bears as they hunt seals. Without sufficient ice, the bears may not extend far enough from land to hunt adequate food to endure. The bears are turning into malnourished as well as many are expiring of starvation. This dynamic is effecting female bears with cubs in a exceptional amount causing lesser survival prices of the newer generations. Increased risks to polar bears include enhanced race ins with individuals due to the forced time spent on land, as well as spills, improvement and freight techniques reporting to oil in the Arctic.

Interference in the form of government controls to lessen human impact has actually been highlighted as a top priority in America and other countries. In addition, individual providers and interest groups continue to lobby and function by having the authorities to defend this valuable pet in its natural environment. Apart from authorities intercession, more analysis regarding international warming is important so that the climate modification may be stopped or turned around. There are agencies that are raising money for this extremely objective. An additional way communities are actually assisting the polar bear is to utilize trained bear patrol agents to keep the land bound polar bears from people as well as to make certain that the bears are actually not contending likewise really by having the folks for the food resources on land.

  1. Bunz says:

Yep. You got it. The two lions, and two tigers on Noah’s Ark ate every single dinosaur on board. I hope your parents didn’t spend too much money on college….

  2. Wendy S says:

    They ate the unicorns

  3. Darth Eugene Vader says:

How did the polar bears get to Noah’s Ark? * Details not given at the Bible. * Possible option: They crossed the sea from Canada / Alaska to Rusia / Siberia on top of an iceberg. Then traveled by land until an unknown place where they were captured by humans who later bring and sold them to Noah. Probably Noah purchased two cubs, not two adult bears. And which animals did these bears eat while on the ark? * This is easier: Noah give them food. God told Noah to pack provisions for his family and for the animals on ark. What exactly Noah gave them it is not written, sheep or cattle meat? fish? Anyway, the food was not from the pairs of animals received at the ark for preserving animal life.

  4. Michael says:

Maybe they did eat other animals, or they were so hungry they ate each other…like the donner party. I don’t think this is a reason for the extinction of the dinosaurs…I would personally pick a stegosaurus over a lion because of its spikes. All dinosaurs were naturally the perfect species, no weaknesses. I imagine that humans were eaten during the great flood, but what do I know…

  5. John N says:

Polar Bear Extinction Question? What would happen if most of the polar bears died out. Im writing a paper on them possibly going extinct. So besides from the ecosystem going out of wack what else would happen

  6. Jim says:

Most likely not much. Most biologist and ecologist pretty much agree, that the loss of one species wont effect much of anything else. Polar bear are not going extinct. They have not been put on any list. They are a species of concern due to the polar ice caps melting. Here is something most people don’t know. During the previous warm period, that would be the one that ended near the beginning of the last Ice Age, temperatures got warmer than they are now. Polar bear survived the last polar ice melt cause by that warming. There is no reason to believe they wont survive this one. There is something that is of concern. The shipping companies are discussing opening a sea lane through the Arctic Ocean. That could be a possible nightmare. Not only for polar bear, but for the whole Arctic system. Edit: I see someone just likes to go around giving people negative votes. If someone has an issue with my answer, then contact me, we will discuss it. Or perhaps the facts and truth are not acceptable. Perhaps that person prefers to live in ignorance.

  7. quizzard123 says:

Other than the obvious loss of a species, the ecosystem is the biggest problem. No bears, more seals. More seals, less fish. and on and on it goes. It would take a long time to sort itself out (which it would)

  8. Birdman says:

The polar bear population has increased by 1/3 in the past 10 years. Don’t believe all that Al Gore Global Warming Crap!!! They are not going extinct anytime soon.

  9. ?????? ??ooz?? ?????? says:

How can we save all the baby penguins, polar bears, and sea lions from extinction??? They are so cool…..and so close to being extinct.. Global warming blows man…. How can we save them?

  10. pegminer says:

Relax, I don’t think any of them are that close to being extinct, certainly not sea lions and penguins.

  11. MLR says:

Maybe they are supposed to be extinct already

  12. Idoni says:

They’re all surviving pretty well, actually. Why just baby penguins and not ALL penguins, anyway? Don’t worry about it, they’re fine.

  13. Swash says:

theres no aving them people think they can save the world but they cant it all ends most likely in the next generation

  14. smallstepsatatime says:

i made a blog trying to help people prevent global warming check it out there are some tips there http://www.smallstepsatatime.blogspot.com/ hope i helped

  15. Dead! says:

    Don’t eat them.

  16. paintedhorse30 says:

She will shoot them from a helicopter.

  17. V says:

Sorry, she has been keeping them off the endangered species list. You can look that up, in Alaska.

  18. Page1344 says:

She’s an animal killer. So, I doubt she has any funding in mine to help the polar bears, or any other animals for that matter. PS: I promise not to tell Stephen Colbert about your love of bears.

  19. Poor Banker says:

But of course you are leading the question because she sued to take them off the endangered species list. Global Warming may kill more of them than drilling in ANWR and pushing the pipeline. You want energy, or your want polar bears? Gun to my head says energy.

  20. jim z says:

DaveM, LOL great answer and great visual. There is an old saying that I think captures it so well. It goes something like this: Those who have no food have one problem. Those who have lots of food have lots of problems. Obviously alarmists are overfed

  21. thomas e says:

I believe that it’s the proponents of AWG who are the ones that are paranoid….

  22. Klaus says:

Warming of the climate means great saving in heating bill… And those who whine about global warming, and not only suffering from paranoia, but also about massive envy about those who saving money while no need to spend so much money into heating of own houses… And they are also too stupid to realize that earth has been earlier warmer place than it is now… Temperature changes (fluctuations both up and down) are entirely NATURAL part of the atmospheres behavior… Greenland still has ice (unfortunately), and imagine, in the history, Vikings lived there and there were GREEN forrest’s… So, there are still lots of ice to melt…

  23. Gertrud S says:

although your question seems to be a medley, i’ll try to contribute to your thoughts. the worst side of pro or contra global warming is that both sides are getting increasingly fundamentalist and close their ears to the arguments of the other side. yes, it is correct that natural climatic changes have happened from natural causes ever since creation, evolution is not complete, the end has not come and hopefully will not come for aeons. it is also correct that mankind contributes heavily to climate change, which we now call global warming. mankind cannot change nature, but mankind definitely can cut down energy consumption, waste production, destruction of oxygen sources and so on. greed is the key word for man’s contribution or guilt.

  24. beren says:

LMAO. You try to use a pseudo science (psychology) with all the psycho-babble to say that people who believe in real science are crazy. oh. the irony.

  25. antarcticice says:

GW is based on real science Science is a broad name for a wide range of research activities The web has a large number of sites devoted to things that science and most of us, would consider fiction, things like UFO, who built the Pyramids, Atlantis, were Elvis is today etc etc. over time all these were fads but interest soon faded this is the case with deniers as well, as evidence mounts against their claims. Still if they continue to make silly claims about things like Mayan calendars that will be sooner rather than later. Although there are a few here who I think will be standing in Times square 50 years from now with a walking frame, up to their ankles in water yelling it’s not happening.

  26. Rita says:

which animals are near extinction? please type as many and if you know any good websites that would be great :D i know that polar bears e.t.c are nearing extinction but any unusual ones? BEST ANSWER FOR FIRST ANSWER?? YES THANK YOU BT NAME ME SOME!! :)

  27. Bird Nerd says:

About 1/3 of the world’s amphibian species are endangered due to the chytrid fungus and pollution.

  28. donquixotereturns says:

There are loads and loads of animals nearing extinction or endangered. “With nearly a quarter of all mammal species and a third of amphibians threatened with extinction” this was from the World Wildlife Fund.

  29. Lollygag says:

Far too many to list, check out http://www.iucnredlist.org/ they have photo galleries of some of the most endangered animals plus a bunch of other info on endangered animals.
